The new UV Guard SLF-Series carry NSF/ANSI Standard 55, Class A certification. Wide range of flowrates cover a wide range of applications from point-of-use (POU) disinfection to high-flow point-of-entry (POE).

These validated systems carry a 40 mJ/cm2 UV dose at the alarm set-point as dictated by NSF/ANSI Standard 55 test protocol. Systems offer a 4-log reduction (99.99%) in bacteria, virus and protozoan cysts (Giardia lamblia and Cryptosporidium).

Applications include warm water & legionella, aquaculture, aquatics, agriculture & horticulture, industrial & manufacturing, food & beverage, residential, drinking water, wastewater, rainwater, stormwater, medical & pharmaceutical  and many other applications.images (2)

Description

UV Guard CWP-Series UV Steriliser – Description

The UV Guard CWP-Series  UV Steriliser  was designed to protect your family and residents from impurities, pathogens and disease found within tank water supplies including E.coli, Cryptosporidium and Giardia that can prove to have detrimental health implications/serious illness if consumed. The CWP-Series is a combined filtration and UV disinfection treatment system able to remove impurities and safeguard your tank water supplies against these risks. With two models, the CWP-Series provides safe, potable water for small, medium and large houses. It can also be used in any other water treatment application where the combination of pre-filtration and UV disinfection is required.

Safe Drinking water in three steps:

  1. Sediment Filtration – Removes impurities and sediments larger than 20 microns.
  2. Antibacterial Carbon Block Filtration – Improves taste, odour and clarity whilst also removing contaminants greater than 5 microns in size.
  3. UV Disinfection – Inactivates pathogens, bacteria and viruses.

Benefits of the CWP-Series:

  • Convenience –  combining filtration and UV disinfection in one unit.
  • No micro-organism is known to be immune to UV –  even the chlorine resistant Giardia and Cryptosporidium.
  • Economical and efficient –  disinfecting at the point of use, no contact time required.
  • No harmful by-products –  chemical free, no impact on taste or colour and no corrosion problems.
  • No risk of overdosing –  reducing the risks associated with chemical overdosing.
  • Easy Installation – units are pre-assembled, only connection to inlet and outlet required.
  • Peace of mind –  power supplies show when lamp is in operation and audibility alerts any faults.

Features of the CWP-Series:

UV Guard CWP-Series Features

The CWP-Series is composed of 2models with varying treatment capacities based on a IV dose of 40 mJ/cm2 (at 95% UVT). We recommend a UV dose of 40mJ/cm2 for most commercial and residential applications

UV Disinfection – What is it?

The technology of UV disinfection incorporates Ultra-Violet light, specifically in the wavelength between 200 to 300 nanometers known as the germicidal wavelength. The optimal wavelength when it comes to disinfection using UV is 264 nanometers which located within the UV-C spectrum.

Upon exposure to this germicidal wavelength, micro-organisms are outright destroyed or rendered incapable of reproduction. When the micro-organisms is exposed to the high energy associated with the UV-C UV light, the DNA of these micro-organisms that include bacteria, viruses, spores and other pathogens absorb the light. The absorbed light then causes abnormalities in the DNA resulting in the micro-organism not being able to reproduce and therefore not being able to infect.
