Osmotech 1070 – Description
Osmotech 1070 is an anti-scalant with a high stabilising capacity, developed for membrane systems where deposits, caused by high hardness or suspended solids, are likely to occur. It is a clear to slightly turbid, yellow-brownish liquid blended product based on phosphoric acids.

Mode of Action
Osmotech 1070 prevents the formation of crystals from water hardnees by blocking crystal growth. Beyond the stabilisation limit an amorphous precipitate is obtained which is dispersible and does not form a hard scale on the membrane surface, so that it can be flushed out with the brine.
Application
- Osmotech 1070 can either be added undiluted or, if preferred, as a solution in water. The product should be added by an automatic dosing system regulated by the quantity of the feed water flow, particularly where the quantity of the feed flow shows large variations.
- All parts of the dosing system, which come in contact with the product must be made of acid resistant material. Synthetic materials (PE, PVC) are preferable to metallic components because of the complexing ability of the phosphoric acids contained in the product.
- The product should be added at or before a point of high mixing intensity in the system. The dosage may be adapted to the capacity of the dosing system by diluting of the product.
- Osmotech 1070 is intended for industrial and trade use.
