Chemical Dosing Systems

We have a comprehensive range of high-quality liquid mixing and storage tanks and chemical feed system with integral dosing pump, and control equipment. The dosing pumps used in our standard chemical feed equipment packages are designed for heavy duty industrial applications and include Milton Roy and Nikkiso dosing pumps. Some features of our chemical dosing system are listed below:

•  PE tank with bottom drainage outlet (100 -200 litre capacity)
•  O.2 kW corrosion resistant agitator
•  Low level protection with visual and audible alarm
•  Liquid level sensor
•  Positive displacement pump
• Control panel

The metering pump is a positive displacement chemical dosing device with the ability to vary capacity manually or automatically as process conditions require. It features a high level of repetitive accuracy and is capable of pumping a wide range of chemicals including acids, bases, corrosive or viscous liquids and slurries. The pumping action is developed by a reciprocating piston which is either in direct contact with the process fluid or is shielded from the fluid by a diaphragm. Diaphragms are actuated by hydraulic fluid between the piston and the diaphragm. Metering pumps are generally used in applications where one or more of the following conditions exist:

• Low flow rates in mL/hr or l/hr are required.
• High system pressure exists.
• High accuracy feed rate is demanded.
• Dosing is controlled by computer, microprocessor, DCS, PLC, or flow proportioning.
• Corrosive, hazardous, or high temperature fluids are handled.
• Viscous fluids or slurries need to be pumped.

Listed below is our standard range of chemical dosing systems. This chemical dosing system does not include automated dosing control to facilitate proportional control, or automated variable dosage based on process variables.  Please contact us for specific bespoke control functions such as:

• Proportional dosing based on pH, conductivity, ORP or other controller-based operation.
• Proportional dosing based on volumetric instantaneous flow.
• Dosing based on timer or on/off based function.
• Larger tank capacities.
• Integration into existing control equipment including PLC.
• Dosing of approved chemicals into potable water for inhibiting legionella.
•  Dosing using peristaltic pumps (Longer Pumps).

SAS Safety gloves have not been individually tested against these chemicals. Variability in glove thickness, chemical concentration, temperature and length of exposure to chemicals will affect the performance.
