Description

Replacement Filters RO – Value Pack-I Year Pack

Includes three stages of pre-filtration (two sets) , and one set final stage carbon polisher cartridge and one alkaline cartridge. The pre-filtration catridges are quick change cartridges , and the final activated carbon stage and alkaline stage are in-line cartridges.
ANSI/NSF certified component Standard 58-  This represents excellent value and no compromise in quality – independent third party approved filters(NSF)
The filter pack includes 5 stages:

RS300ST 5 Micron Sediment Filter – 2 Units

5 Micron  sediment filter with life span of  6000 litres of filtration  or 6 months (dependant on water quality)

Dimensions: 2.5×10″

RS300ND Granular Activated Carbon – 2 Units

Granular activated carbon replacement cartridge removes  chlorine, chloramine and other contaminants causing bad odour, colour  or taste. actaivated carbon has a highly porous structure and contaminants are adsorbed into  this porous matrix. Physical adsorption is the primary means by which activated carbon works to remove contaminants from liquid or vapor streams. Carbon’s large surface area per unit weight allows for contaminants to adhere to the activated carbon media.

The large internal surface area of carbon has several attractive forces that work to attract other molecules. These forces manifest in a similar manner as gravitational force; therefore, contaminants in water are adsorbed (or adhered) to the surface of carbon from a solution as a result of differences in adsorbate concentration in the solution and in the carbon pores.

Physical adsorption occurs because all molecules exert attractive forces, especially molecules at the surface of a solid (pore walls of carbon), and these surface molecules seek to adhere to other molecules.

Quick-change cartridge filters ** Quick-Change RO systems are so easy to service !!

The newly designed quick-change RO system is user friendly with design simplicity in mind. It requires no tools for filter changes. Use twist and quick-change cartridge design makes filter changes fast, clean and easy. No tools required for replacements. This space saving allows maximum use of your under counter space.

Quick change RO systems significantly reduce filter change time!
Change filters with a single 1/4 turn twist! Much quicker than traditional systems!

Stage 5: Activated carbon in-line cartridge( carbon polisher) – 1 Unit

Description- Inline Carbon Filter (GAC)

Granular Activated Carbon (GAC)  is designed to remove unpleasant taste and odours as well as sediment to produce cleaner, clearer, better tasting water. The Granular Activated Carbon filters are easily installed on the water line to an automatic icemaker, Reverse Osmosis System or water dispensing system. GAC has an extremely large amount of adsorption surface area, generally around 73 acre/lb (650 m2 /gram) to 112 acre/lb (1000 m2 /gram) [1]. GAC is made of tiny clusters of carbon atoms stacked upon one another, and is produced by heating the carbon source (coal, lignite, wood, nutshells or peat) in the absence of air which produces a high carbon content material.

Activated carbon bonds to thousands of known chemicals. As water is forced through the  carbon, it is forced to slow its flow speed and thereby increase the contact time with the carbon. This slowing of the flow allows the carbon bonding to take place and remove chemical pollutants like toxins, THM’s, chlorine, pesticides, bad tastes, odours, etc.

Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) water filters offer quick and easy installation with installation instructions located directly on the filter.

The GAC Carbon In-line  filter replaces most inline 10″ x 2″ filters. Inline carbon filters can be used for pre-filtration in RO systems, as well as for post-filtration or polishing filter.

GAC  In-line carbon Water Filter specifications:

5 micron rating

Flow rate: 2.35 l/min

Dimensions: 2 inches x 10 inches

7050 litre  capacity

Max. pressure: 861 kPa

NSF certified

This GAC Carbon In-line Water Filte needs to be replaced every 6-12 months or when taste & odour return to water.

Stage 6: Alkaline cartridge.-1 unit

The Alkaline filter changes the acidic RO water into a perfect Natural Alkali Calcium Ionised Water. The PurePro® Alkaline filter simply gives back minerals such as ionised calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium ion, which were taken away while purifying the water. The PurePro® Alkaline filter is effective and give the water pH value of 8.00~9.5.

Reverse osmosis, by removing alkaline mineral constituents of water, produces acidic water. Acidic water can be dangerous to the body system, causing calcium and other essential minerals to be stripped from bones and teeth in order to neutralise its acidity. Trace elements of minerals were intended to be in water; their removal leaves tasteless, unhealthy drinking water.

Even the modest amounts of minerals found in regular drinking water play a beneficial role in your health. Calcium and magnesium are important for strong bones, of course. Magnesium also helps to regulate your blood pressure. In fact, people who live in areas with very soft water (which is low in minerals) may have a higher risk of heart disease. Ironically, the same thing can be true if you live in an area with very hard water. All those minerals can be rough on the plumbing, so people who have hard water often use a water-softening system to remove minerals.

Note: The alkaline cartridge may be substituted with the mineral cartridge depending on our stock situation. The mineral cartridge provides very similar minerals to your RO water.
