Rusco Stainless Steel Filter Screens for Spin-Down Filter Systems
Rusco filter screens are efficient in heavy sediment applications. They can be used in applications with a flow rate ranging from 1 GPM to 100 GPM. Applications include irrigation, drinking water, agriculture and industrial uses. The filter screen is cleanable and reusable. Use the table below to identify the correct screen size for your spin down filter.
Spin Down Size |
Filter Screen Length |
Filter Screen Top Diameter |
3/4″ & 1″ | 5-1/4″ | 1-3/16″ |
1-1/2″ | 8-1/8″ | 1-5/8″ |
2″ | 10″ | 1-7/8″ |
The Rusco Filter Sand Separator is ideal for filtering out coarse sediment without the need for cartridge replacement. A r screen filters the sediment. Periodically the sediment will need to be removed. This can be done by simply opening the purge valve allowing the sediment to be flushed out via centrifugal action. The polycarbonate transparent sump permits monitoring of trapped sediment.
Rusco filters are available up to 2″ with different screen sizes- the one inch sand separator for instance will allow a flow of up to 60 litres/min.
Sediment Filters are highly flexible filters designed to be utilised in a wide variety of applications. From household well water systems, geothermal heating, or lawn and turf, all the way to factories, livestock feeding systems, or advanced liquid cooling systems, Rusco’s Spin-Down® has been providing the industry leading sediment filtration solution since 1977.

Algae | Grows in presence of light under clear filter cover | Use a Sun Shield |
In general, use the coarsest screen deemed necessary to filter the material you want removed. This will result in longer runs between blow-downs. |
