This 10″ Refillable Cartridge can be filled with any filtration media of your choice such as DI Resin , Polyphosphate Crystals, Activated Carbon etc , and when it is time to change filters  you can simply remove this cartridge from your 10″ filter housing , empty out your media and replace with new media. Then just insert the cartridge back into the clear filter housing.
